Groam House Museum is looking for a part-time  administrator/manager to take responsibility for the day to day running and administration of the museum, including organizing volunteer staffing rotas, arranging volunteer training, handling new volunteer applications and induction, museum security, documenting procedures and practices, and maintaining policies relevant to the operation of the museum.

Hours are variable according to the season, ranging from approximately 1 day a week in winter, to 3 days a week in summer, possibly more.

Knowledge of the museum’s collections is not required, though you will no doubt acquire it as you go along and will find it fascinating.

The work is based partly at home, but attendance will be required at the museum and its office on a regular basis – so living locally or being a car driver would be beneficial.

Salary and conditions are negotiable.
