In recognition of the endangered status of this craft in the UK, this workshop focuses on monochrome block printing, which was once used as an alternative to tapestries for wallpaper and fabric designs. Participants using traditional methods and skills will carve their own wood block inspired by their interpretation of the place, motives and details found in the hand-drawn maps of the museum’s collection. (Funded by Museums Galleries Scotland)
Free, donations welcome.
