Stories Elizabeth Told

A Storytelling Session in tribute to the founder of Groam House Museum Betty Marshall/Elizabeth Sutherlan

9th November at 14:30
Free, donations to the museum welcome.

Storyteller Lizzie McDougall looks forward to retelling many of the stories she heard from Elizabeth.

We will celebrate the legacy of Groam House’s founder, Elizabeth Sutherland, with “Stories Elizabeth Told,” a storytelling session led by Lizzie McDougall. Lizzie will share tales that she gathered from Elizabeth herself, reflecting the deep history and traditions of the area. These stories, Elizabeth believed, bring us closer to the people who have called this region home over the centuries. Lizzie notes, “Elizabeth was a wonderful storyteller and a mentor who shared a wealth of tales through events like the Seer Festival, Celtic Trails, and Story Quilts. This session is a tribute to her influence and to the storytelling legacy she began here at Groam House.”
