One of the most endearing items in our George Bain Collection, a two-colour child’s jumper, could be the subject of a Highland Objects podcast!
Up for vote are 14 items of clothing from museums located across the Highlands. Each costume is to feature in Highland Threads, a new online exhibition launching 1 April.
The jumper was knitted in the mid-1900s by the designer’s daughter, Claire Bain. The all-over angular design inspired by key patterns found in Celtic art.
